About the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid

Sporting a completely new design, an innovative third-generation two-motor hybrid powertrain, and an impressive anticipated EPA range rating of over 600 miles* – the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid takes efficiency to the next level. This advanced powertrain delivers greater than 40 percent thermal efficiency, the highest for any mass-produced Honda engine, paired with two electric motors. A new, more compact intelligent power unit (IPU) is now mounted under the rear floor instead of in the trunk to maximize both cargo space and flexibility. Other available features such as heated seats, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, leather upholstery, and a head-up display help make the Accord Hybrid an outstanding choice among fuel-conscious drivers.

What the Critics Say

The 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid features all the goodness of the all-gas model, but with even better fuel economy and one huge improvement over the previous-generation Accord Hybrid. While the outgoing model’s trunk space was compromised by the battery, the new model features a full-size trunk expandable into the cabin via 60/40 split rear seat backs. The Accord Hybrid’s biggest shortcoming has been solved.” – Kelley Blue Book
“Honda also nailed the suspension tuning. Here, the hybrid delivers the same creamy, unperturbed ride and alert handling as the other Accord models. When driven in stop-and-go traffic under moderate throttle, it may be the best version for appreciating the Accord’s quiet interior and upscale finishes. Better still, there’s no longer a cargo-volume penalty for choosing the hybrid.” – Car and Driver
