Car Battery

The car battery is an integral part of your vehicle, and needs to be in working order for your car to operate well. Here are some things to look out for that indicate your battery needs to get replaced.

If your car starts slowly, this could mean that you need a new car battery. If the check engine light comes on and stays on even after you’ve gotten a tune-up or had the oil change, you may want to ask your technician to check your battery. If your battery starts leaking and there is corrosion around the top of the battery, it may be time to get the battery replaced as well.

Car batteries usually last for around three years, but there are some batteries that will last slightly longer. If you decide not to change your battery after a few years, ask your technician at Honda East in Cincinnati, OH, to inspect the battery annually to make sure it’s functioning well.
