What the Critics Say

The sedan is the most popular 2019 Civic body style, even if it’s easy to mistake as a hatchback at first. Its silhouette channels the Audi A7, the poster child for svelte styling. But where the Audi’s tail ends in a utilitarian hatchback, the Civic features a conventional trunk. This year’s styling updates swap chrome for glossy black accents up front for a cleaner look.” — The Car Connection
Honestly, Honda could have sent its engineers on a yearlong vacation to Tahiti rather than task them with updating the 2019 Civic. We’ve been giving this generation Civic top marks since its debut three years ago, and there’s nothing else out this year that’s going to steal the car’s title belt. But here we are anyway with an even better Civic.” — Edmunds

What’s New for 2019

Numerous changes and upgrades have been made to the Civic Sedan for the 2019 model year. Now standard on all trim levels of the Civic Sedan is Honda Sensing®. New styling enhancements include a blacked-out headlight treatment, restyled lower bumper, and more subtle use of chrome accents on the front bumper. Molten Lava Pearl and Platinum White Pearl are two new exterior color options available on the Civic Sedan. Debuting this year is a new Sport trim which adds aggressive styling, improved handling, and several value-added features.

Turning our attention toward the interior, the optional Display Audio system has been refreshed with a new interface along with a volume knob and physical buttons for key functions. For easier device pairing, the optional Bluetooth® integration has been improved. Updated dash trim, redesigned steering wheel controls, and a new center console cupholder which can accommodate larger beverages are other enhancements you’ll find inside the 2019 Honda Civic Sedan.
