About the All-New 2018 Honda Accord

The 2018 Honda Accord enters its tenth generation sporting a total redesign and a host of improvements for the new model year. Available LED headlights and taillights distinctively accent the chiseled body lines of the 2018 Accord. Two turbocharged engine options deliver potent performance while an upcoming hybrid variant offers outstanding fuel efficiency. Standard Honda Sensing® incorporates a suite of safety and driver-assist technologies designed to keep drivers safe on the road. Inside the Accord, drivers will be greeted by a tech-focused interior which offers greater refinement and more volume than previous models. The 2018 Honda Accord is scheduled for nationwide release on October 15, 2017.

What the Critics Say

"The Accord wasn't updated just to make a styling statement. It's the car's 2.1-inch stretch in wheelbase that frees up 2.5 inches of legroom for rear-seat occupants. Honda has also positioned the Accord seats lower and slightly more inward to improve shoulder, hip, and headroom." - Consumer Reports

"The 2018 Honda Accord launches the 10th-generation version of the Japanese brand's midsize workhorse sedan, and it ticks a lot of car enthusiast-friendly boxes. Now with a longer wheelbase and wider stance, yet shorter overall length and lower height, Honda adds more aggression in both appearance and physics to the latest Accord." - Autoweek

Bold Styling

All-new for 2018, the Honda Accord returns sporting a sleek silhouette and sculpted body lines. The sharp appearance is complemented by a wheelbase which has been extended by 2.1 inches along with a wider track. Further contributing to improved driving dynamics are shortened front and rear body overhangs which give the Accord a more athletic personality on the road. These changes result in an interior which offers greater dimensions. Overall interior volume has been boosted by 2.5 cubic feet while rear leg room increases by 2.5 inches over the outgoing model. The 2018 Honda Accord sets the benchmark for the modern midsize sedan.

Honda Sensing®

The Honda Sensing® intelligent suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies comes standard on every 2018 Honda Accord. Advanced technologies included in this comprehensive package are Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM), Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR). An available driver-awareness monitor provides helpful assistance on long drives. If the system detects drowsiness or lack of attention, it can alert the driver and suggest taking a break from driving.

All-New Powertrain Options

Three new engine choices are available on the 2018 Honda Accord. The 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine produces 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque and is the standard engine on the Accord. Buyers craving more power should opt for the optional 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine which boats 252 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque.

A responsive 6-speed manual transmission option is available with either engine. A CVT automatic transmission is offered with the 1.5-liter while an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission makes its debut on the 2018 Accord. On the upcoming Accord Hybrid, a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle engine paired with electric motors combine to produce 212 horsepower while delivering exceptional fuel efficiency.
