The New Honda Civic Has Gone Through A Complete Makeover

The 2016 Honda Civic has gone through a complete makeover - both inside and out. The outside has been completely redesigned and looks a lot sportier and sleek when compared to the 2015 Honda Civic. The 2016 Civic did not only receive updates to the exterior, but it received updates to its interior, vehicle construction, and performance. There are four trims you can choose from in this lineup. All of which have the Honda Sensing™ feature available to help you sense things you might miss while driving. Honda decided to add an optional 1.5-liter turbo engine to the Honda Civic. This is the first turbo engine that Honda has ever offered in a car. When compared to the previous model, the turbo engine is able to go from 0-60, 2 seconds faster.

What's New for 2016:

This new year added a fierce new shape for the Honda Civic. The elegant style of the front end and the roof line really masks the fact that it is a sedan and not a hatchback. The all-new 2.0 liter engine in the LX and EX models weighs less and adds 15 HP and 9 lb-ft. of torque as compared to last year's 1.8 liter engine. Thew new Civic has been praised as fun to drive, smooth, punchy, and capable. Everything you've always wanted is included in the 7 inch Display Audio with Touch-Screen. Available is Apple CarPlay, Andriod Auto and SiriousXM Radio®. We've taken convenience to a new level with our tech center console storage. Whether it's your cell phone, sunglasses or coffee mug, the massive console helps store and hide your valuables. The 2016 Honda Civic is the safest vehicle on the road with the Honda Sensing technology.

2016 Honda Sensing Feature:

Each trim in the 2016 Honda Civic lineup comes available with the new Honda Sensing feature. Honda created these driver-assistive technologies to help you sense things you miss while driving.

Take a look at what you can expect from the 2016 Honda Civic Honda Sensing feature below:

Lane Departure Warning can detect un-indicated lane departures from detected lanes. Alerts will flash and sound to help bring your attention to correcting the lane drift.

The Lane Keeping Assist System can reduce driver fatigue by helping to keep you in the middle of your lane. If you begin to leave the center of a detected lane without signaling, the steering adjusts to keep you centered.

Road Departure Mitigation notifies you via rapid vibrations on the steering wheel. For example, if your vehicle is drifting too close to the side of the detected roadway while driving 45-90 mph without a turn signal activated. And if you continue to leave the roadway, it can also apply steering torque and braking to help keep your vehicle in the detected lane.

Adaptive Cruise Control helps you maintain a set following interval, so you don't have to manually change your speed.

The Forward Collision Warning uses a small camera mounted at the top of the front windshield to detect the presence of vehicles in front of you. If the FCW system determines you are at risk of a collision with a detected vehicle, it activates audio and visual alerts to warn you. If you fail to act, the CMBS will automatically apply brake pressure.

Collision Mitigation Braking System utilizes a millimeter wave radar sensor, CMBS can help bring your Honda to a stop when the system determines that a collision with a vehicle detected in front of you is unavoidable. A warning sound and, if necessary, brake pressure is automatically applied.

In addition to the exclusive Honda Sensing features, the 2016 Honda Civic is available with a 7-inch touchscreen audio display, a powered sunroof, 16″ alloy wheels, remote start, and Apple CarPlay. If you're unfamiliar with Apple CarPlay, it integrates your Apple device with your vehicle's sound system for wireless streaming. You can access and utilize apps like your music, podcast, messages, audiobooks, maps, and more.
